Private Dining at Santa Monica

What a perfect dining? It was the first time in my life that I spent my money for eating super luxurious private dinner. And yes, it was Japanese food. This restaurant is unrecognizable from the outside. It is a small shop with white cover from inside and it has a "CLOSED" sign in the window. The only way to get there is being invited. Firstly, my friend found out this restaurant from Yelp. This restaurant got five stars for good reviews. And she tried to make reservation. She did and the reservation already made since last February. The only available space for us is on April 29, which was last Sunday. This restaurant only occupy by maximum 11 people. It was kind of private dining. And we made it for 9 people, so we are only at that restaurant.

This restaurant named Yamakase, it is Japanese food with imported chef from Japan directly. All the food is imported from Japan, so it is fresh food. When we arrived at Yamakase, we can't find the place after we find out the exact address. It is such an invisible restaurant. Then, we went inside the restaurant, it was small with decorated kitchen in front of the bar seat. And we all sat at the bar.
At that time, we did not have to order the food. All our food already set by the chef. We just sit calmly and wait for the served food. All the total food served is about 18 dishes, include appetizers, main courses and dessert. Overall, the food is good but the price is overrated. Maybe this is my first and last time to go that restaurant. The food is cost $280 per person. Really expensive! And start on this week to next month maybe i will eat instant noodle and cook by myself at home.

  Skydiving

             I played skydiving with my friends last Saturday, it is so exciting. We found it in the website and paid 280 online, they will make a video for you. That day was so hot, but it cannot stop us. Before we start, the instructors taught us some skills to jump. But actually, we don't need do anything, it's very easy. I jumped from 12000 inch, but it just take me 1 minute. Actually, it's difficult to explain my feeling, so I will go again with my friends. By the way, I will show video and photo later.

What I Will Do Next Weekend

     Hello my dear classmates, next week I will drive with two of my friends to Phoenix, AZ. I will go there to take the IELTS test. I hope I get the score I need, so wish me the best. I'm looking forward to getting a 6.0. The last time I took it I got a 4.5.  I'm not satisfied with this score. Also, I will drive there, so please wish me the best to get there safe. -_-

    Welcome again my dear classmates !!

I finally took the IELTS in Phoenix, AZ.  We drove there safely but the weather in the highway was so hot I think if we didn't have an air conditioner we would not be able to breathe because of the heat. Anyways, we arrived to the Hotel which is Holiday Inn

 It was a comfortable hotel with a lot of facilities.

My Last Weekend in LA

 

 

 

     My last weekend I went to LA for the whole weekend. In the beginning I was sitting in my apartment with my roommate after a long day of studying I was burned out that day. Then, one of my friends who lives in LA called and said, " I'm coming to pick you up, we will celebrate my birthday in LA." Actually, it was his birthday on that day. So, he came and picked me up and we went to downtown LA. It was my first time going to downtown LA. I heard it is scary so I was a little bit afraid. However, we went to a Lounge there and we had lots of fun. We danced, celebrated his birthday and made friendships with amazing people. After that great time we went to his apartment at 2 AM.

 

     On the other day, we woke up at 9 am. we had breakfast in a Lebanese restaurant. it was so delicious and tasteful. At 11 in the morning we went to Venice beach. It is one of my favorite beaches in LA. We sat there for four and half hours under the sunshine. We played volleyball and we made a beautiful castle using the mud. Also. while I was under the sun I was tanning but sadly my skin didn't change. 

Long Beach

 

 

 

Last Sunday there was a big event in Long Beach, it was the Toyota Race. We saw the Formula one cars. Actually we were not at the race area, but we saw a little bit from the street.  There were many people over there, it was awesome. Then we ended our day by walking on the beach for a while until the sun went down.  It was an amazing view.

 

 

 

 

 

Disneyland

I had an amazing weekend last week. I went to Disneyland for the first time in my life.  It reminds me of many sweet memories during my childhood.  I used to do all my homework very fast to get the permission from my mom to let me watch one of my favorite Walt Disneys cartoons. My favorite ones were Cinderella and Snow White so it was like a dream for me to see the real scenes I saw on cartoons. I took lots of photos there and I think the best one is the one with Minnie mouse. There was also many fantasy rides but the best one was star tour. The only thing which really bothered me was the heat and sun light.

I deeply recommend you visit there if you have never visited before.

My first time MLB

       I went to Angel Stadium of Anaheim two weeks ago on April 11 to watch a baseball game between the L.A. Angels and the Oakland Athletics. I went there with my Thai friend. 
       Actually, that time, I still did not know any rules about baseball. Therefore, when I was at the stadium, I tried to learn it. After inning 5, I just realized how to play baseball. It was a truly great experience for me; however, our team, LA Angels lost the opponent by 1-8. 
      Another of my impressions is that the game attendance was more than 43,000 persons in the stadium even though it was on the weekday, Thursday, not weekend. It could demonstrate that American people are absolutely crazy about sports.  If I have a chance, I would go there again to cheer up my hometown team. 

Desert Hills Premium Outlet

I almost spent my last weekend in relaxing in the apartment. I also got suffice amount of sleeping. I just went to play bowling on Saturday with my friends and unfortunately I lost the game. On sunday, we went to desert hills outlet in order to purchase some new and cheap clothes. I bought a new shirt from Ralph Lauren and also a new short from Tommy. Therefore, I was very happy because of buying this new stuffs. Finally, I went back to my apartment in order to complete my homework's.

Everyone Loves Chinese Food

I didn't know I loved Chinese food so much before I came here!

I always want to eat Chinese food whenever my friend ask me what I want to eat. My favorite Chinese restaurant here is TASTY GARDEN. It's a chain restaurant. You can find it in Westminster, Alhambra, Monterrey park etc.

My two favorite dishes there are chicken and chestnut in hotpot and braised pork-belly with preserved vegetable. They taste very Chinese! You will love Chinese food if you visit one time.

My Last Weekend

     

I spent my last weekend in San Diego. My friend invited me to come to his apartment and I went there and stayed the entire weekend over there. I arrived San Diego at 10 o'clock in the evening, so we didn't have enough time to go out and forced to stay in the apartment. On the next day, we went to Conorado island by crossing the gorgeous bridge with a convertable car. it was the best feeling I have ever had in the bridge when we opened the convertable. By then we strolled in Conorado's beach and also we saw a weding party over there and a lot of spouses had been taking pictures from the wonderful view. We also went to Lahoya in order to see the entire view of San Diego. After that, we went back to our apartment. Finally, I returned back to Fullerton on the next morning. In brief, It was the best weekend I have ever had on San Diego.

Spring break in Malibu

                                                    Spring break

      On spring break, we decided to drive to Malibu, enjoy its scenery and catch a glimpse of the world-famous seaside city 
    
      Our car exit from the freeway at gate 33 of 101 South, and then run on a tree-lined boulevard towards Malibu. Hills appearing on both sides of the road, suddenly several deer emerged on the right hillside. I shouted excitedly: “deer! Look, deer! “Thrilled, my friend Vince immediately rolled down the window and looked around:" Where? Where? "The deer simply ignored us, lowered heads and ate grass joyfully, paying no attention to us. If they could have spoken, they would have just snorted: humph, stop fussing!   
  
       Following this road, we came to a winding mountain road with steep peaks on the right and deep cliffs on the left. Now left turn, now right turn, all the way on the mountain road was really frightening. Our speed was very low, whereas the oncoming vehicles in the left lane whirred past us. How bold the Americans were. 

       Finally we reached the beach where we saw white sandy beaches along with turquoise waters. with a relaxed mood, we found some youth playing beach volleyball, some surfing, some swimming and some lying on the beach enjoying sunbathing. We found an empty area, sat down and took out our food to eat. As the friends chatted, we felt delighted as if the time had flew back to childhood. We quietly enjoyed the coastal breeze and longed for such a great pleasure forever! 

I felt like home

       

     What a nice feeling I had last Sunday.  The host family of my friend which I used to hangout in their house in San Diego visited me. We usually have people around on the weekends, but that day was different. the warm feeling scrambled inside me and got bigger and bigger, I just felt like home.

We did  what the simple lovely families do. We cooked, talked , laughed, watched movies, and ate all around one place together.

If I have this gathering every Sunday, I will certainly be less homesick .

Laguna Beach

My favorite beach here is Laguna Beach. I alway go there with friends when I have time. It is the first beach I visited when I came to California.

In Laguna Beach you can not only lie on the beach, but also hike there. There is a little mountain that is famous for hiking. The route is very easy, and the view is beautiful.

After hiking or swimming you can eat at Laguna. There are many restaurants you can choose from. You can eat Italy, Indian,Chinese, American food and so on. You can enjoy the sunset while you eating. The price is very reasonable! If you eat there once, you will want to eat there everyday!

Cancun

            I went to Cancun in the spring break which is a Mexican island. The weather was arid over there so most people swam, tan, relaxed from the sound of the sea, and to sat under the hot sun. It has many beautiful resorts and hotels that lie in front of the gorgeous sea and beaches.

            When I went there, I stayed in Westin Cancun Resort and Spa hotel, It is a resort which lies in front of the ocean and the beach. Also, it was rated as a five star resort. This resort is known for its tranquility. The resort’s bed rooms have two white beds, white and purple sofas, spacious bedrooms and white walls. In my opinion, the resort has the most beautiful swimming pool, the most delicious food, and the best bedrooms.

            I spent all my time swimming, tanning, and going to tours by boat. One of the days, I took a voyage tour in the boat with Mexicans who strived to entertain people. In this voyage, they let us do some snorkeling in the ocean in order to see a lot of fish with their bright colors. Then they took us to a pretty nice island and gave us an hour to discover it. After we discovered the landmarks of the island, we had our lunch in the boat. Finally, before we went back to our hotels, they stopped in the middle of the ocean and rode parachutes. In brief, this day was the best day I have ever had in Cancun.

            I also enjoyed swimming, tanning, and setting under the sun over there. To summarize, if you have any long vacation and you want to relax, Cancun is the perfect place.
